For anyone requiring a comprehensive assessment of need, this service helps identify support requirements, inform individuals and funding bodies, and clarify what is needed for long term management. It assists in prioritising needs and aligning treatment planning with available funding. These assessments are comprehensive and detailed, and are often paired with a report to inform funding bodies and support appropriate allocation of funds.
Provision of advice, assessment and organising trials to find the right solutions. This can include applications for low mid and high cost Assistive tech. Common equipment meeds include hoists, beds, pressure mattresses, scripted manual and power chairs, tilt, recline and lift chairs, cushions and seating systems, as well as car modifications, mobility scooters, and dynamic splinting. Having good networks with suppliers to ensure the best fit between the product and the individual’s needs.
Capacity for major modifications is limited, but please enquire. Low and mid-cost modifications are available, including threshold ramps, low-level ramps, grab rails, and creative solutions to specific accessibility challenges.
Developing skills through structured or unstructured capacity building, depending on individual needs, to achieve meaningful outcomes and improved independence. This may include support with self-care, domestic tasks, budgeting, self and time management, and organisational and planning skills. I work collaboratively with clients, families, and support workers to encourage growth in confidence and practical skills.
Typically working alongside Behaviour Support Practitioners and the broader support team to develop strategies aimed at reducing the intensity and frequency of challenging behaviours. This involves analysis and the implementation of structured supports and activities that complement the work being done with behaviour support practitioners.

Drawing on over 25 years of experience across rehabilitation, disability, neurology, and behavioural services, supervision sessions provide a supportive space to build confidence, strengthen clinical reasoning, and navigate challenging cases with greater clarity.

Dart OT works with NDIS self-managed and plan-managed participants, private clients, NIISQ clients, and Medicare referrals.
Referrals are welcome from individuals, families, support coordinators, and healthcare professionals.
